Lisa's Baby shower

Its that time in all our lives, friends are getting married and even more amazingly they are starting to have children. This is a very special time in all of our lives. The mom to be and the best friend who gets to make her one special day, one she won't ever forget.

I was recently asked to help Megan with Lisa's baby shower. This was a real honour for me, because Lisa has been one of my best friends for many years now, and has always been with me through thick and thin. But if you know Lisa, its also quiet the challenge. I wanted to make the day perfect and to me this means having the perfect CAKE.

Lisa is having a little girl, this means TONS of pink and lots of CUTE. I decided i wanted to make a 3D teddy bear cake for my special friend. Only problem i have never done this before and while i enjoy baking (and am getting better) i have not nearly mastered the art of things "cute and culinary ". But i persisted and was very excited about the outcome.

Because baby showers are all about the baby i decided to personalise the cupcakes with a little thank you note from Casey the baby to be !!!!

All in all we all have a lovely day, and Lisa absolutely adored her cake and little cupcakes. And all the ladies went home filled with loads of LOVE. Cause that's what we do here at "LOVE CAKE"

Love Cake

So its been a hectic few months. But as they say hard work pays off or good things come to those who wait. Well Avalon Events now has another company under her umbrella and its called "LOVE CAKE" because we all do. The nice thing about love cake is its all the love and none of the fat!!!! How great is that ................. you can now have your cake and eat it!

With such a HYPE about the healthy way of living and the importance of eating right, so many of us are missing out on the really great things in life. My man is a health Junkie (for lack of a better word) but he won't eat anything that even looks like its gonna increase his waist line. I decided that i need to come up with something that he could enjoy and still look as good as he does.

Now don't get me wrong i still have those extra special tasty one for the little kiddies in my life. Cause kids are meant to be spoilt, but i use sugar free (not taste free) so that they can eat as many as they like without loosing out on the money from the tooth mouse (due to bad teeth).

I can hear you asking "if it's got no sugar how can it be nice?" well i'll let you know that it is better than good. But i'll let you be the judge.
